Panic weakens the immune system, or How to remove stress with your own hands

 

Now is not the easiest period. An excess of information provokes a person to panic and internal tension, which is especially transmitted to children. The immune system suffers from this, being constantly also in stressful tension from the information that surrounds us.

Creativity is one of the few forms of conscious activity that can relieve unnecessary stress from the body in this situation. So, let’s look at several art therapy techniques that can be used by both children and adults with anxiety attacks for their lives during the period of information panic.

  1. Draw pictures of flower fields. As soon as a destructive or frightening thought comes in, create a pattern of a field of flowers. Of course, it is better to do this with colored pencils, but if only a pen is at hand, this will do. The image of a field and flowers on it gives a feeling of fullness of life and productivity of the vital nature, which is very useful for fears.
  2. We cut experiences into strips. For this technique of self-regulation, scissors, glue and any paper are needed. We cut the sheets into even and long strips of different lengths and widths, and assemble them into geometric applications. So we seem to destroy the image of experience and build our new correct structure from it, which includes volitional processes, switching our consciousness to the search, in this case, for a creative solution.
  3. The simplest and most proven method is to draw symbols for protecting your health . These can be any images that come to your mind as an image of something that can protect. But here I recommend my favorite motifs for drawings: the red apple of health, the sea of ​​health, cleansing rain, the bull of health, the tree of health, and other things that come to mind as a necessary image, maybe.
  4. An excellent method of relieving panic processes is cloth paintings . If you are definitely aware that anxiety takes precedence over logic – find any pieces of fabric, lace and use ordinary glue to make harmonious pictures of health for you. You won’t even notice how dramatically your condition stabilizes.
  5. Drawings on stones . The method is wonderful and interesting: any stone that is found on the street must be washed well and, using acrylic paints, create the necessary pattern on it, for example, a geometric pattern or an image of a stone fortress. The stone itself is about reliability, and integration with it subconsciously creates a feeling of confidence.
  6. Songs have always overcome fear. Marches and major compositions have a positive effect on our emotional background, awakening in us a warrior who will win everything. Create your playlist for health and strength and listen to health.
  7. A little about hygiene – magic soap . It is quite difficult to remind children to wash their hands, which in our situation is the main method of safety. So, melt any toilet soap in the microwave and put small children’s toys there. Believe me, your child will wash their hands so often that it will surprise you. Make funny antiseptic bottles to grab your baby’s attention. Decorate your protective masks or stick fun designs on them.

 

In general, there are many anxieties and sorrows in life, but you don’t need to create them for yourself additionally! Create your health in artbooks, postcards, notebooks, canvases, and then there will simply be no place left for toxic thoughts.
