“TERRITORY OF THE SYMBOL”

The Symposium “Territory of the Symbol” is a scientific and methodological space for understanding the origins and nature of the symbols of human existence, its influence on the conscious and unconscious existential processes of existence. The territory of the symbol is an opportunity to feel, share your experience of understanding and interpreting symbols and make unforgettable deep discoveries that are important for the further professional and personal development of art therapy in Ukraine and for every specialist in helping professions.

FOR THE FIRST TIME , an attempt will be made by the scientific and professional communities to meet the symbol as a psychological code and information carrier, which is an important element in the process of providing psychological assistance.

The main goal of the symposium is a multilevel and diverse, intercultural, interchronological disclosure of the symbolization of images and metaphors, which are reflected in psychological tools and katatim images.

 

What is the symposium about:

1. On the general ideas of the psychology of symbols and their intercultural relationships.
2. About the qualitative content of the symbol in the practice of a psychologist and the practical aspects of its use.
3. On the possibilities of symbolic speech and its place in the images and metaphors of the consultant psychologist.
4. On the limitations and dangers of symbolic speech.
5. About the mechanisms of using the symbol in different clinical cases and different tools.
6. About symbols in metaphorical associative maps, images and photographs.

 

Practicing psychologists, scientists, IAC specialists, managers and employees of advertising services, marketing departments and everyone who uses symbols and seeks to know their meaning and application are invited to participate in the symposium.

 

If you want to:

• deeper understanding of the symbolic language of one’s own being and others;
• understand the intricacies of a symbol as a code and learn how to reveal the hidden content in things that are understandable at first glance;
• determine your inner symbolism, understand the depth of your feelings and the nature of desires hidden in symbols and images;
• provide yourself with professional thoughts and views on the symbol;
• immerse yourself in the mythological structures of the symbol…

You are welcome to our symposium!

 

As part of the symposium, you are expected to:

• lectures on symbolology and psychology of symbols;
• integrated lessons of own study of symbols;
• workshops of specialists and specialists offering the language of symbols as the language of understanding of the client;
• demonstrations on revealing the depth of symbolic structures in metaphorical images;
• master classes on the introduction of symbols into psychological practice;
• evening studio classes on the experimental study of the power of the symbol.

 

Leading experts in the field of psychology of symbols, symbolology, projective psychology, psychoanalysis, psychology of creativity and psychotherapy with the arts, culturologists, ethnographers are involved in the work of the symposium. All speakers are recognized experts in their field of work with symbols.

 

The main objectives of the symposium:

• • to systematize and generalize ideas about the psychology of symbols, its intercultural relationships in the field of practical psychology;
  • to study the qualitative content of the symbol in the practice of a psychologist, to master the practical aspects of its use;
  • expand experience and exchange information about the possibilities of symbolic language and its place in images and metaphors;
  • reveal the empirical mechanisms for the use of the symbol in various clinical cases and various psychological tools;
  • to introduce the effective experience of symbolic logic to analyze the structure of thinking.

    The cost of participation in the symposium

    The registration fee for advance payment is:

    • until September 1 – 600 UAH (for 2 days of participation).
    • from September 1 to October 1 – 700 UAH (for 2 days of participation).
    • from October 1 to October 12 – 800 UAH (for 2 days of participation).

    Full-time students , participants in the programs of the Nazarevich-Art psychological center and the Dialog Center for Psychology and Creativity receive a 10% discount. Members of the “Art Therapeutic Association”, “Western Ukrainian Association of Art Psychologists and Art Therapists”, “Eastern European Association of Art Therapy” discount – 10%.

     

    Accommodation and meals

    Participants are provided with accommodation and meals (optional)

    Meals (3 meals a day) – 110 UAH. (for 1 day).

    Accommodation – 250 UAH. (for 1 day)

    The organizing committee reserves the right to refuse you

    participating as a speaker without giving a reason.

     

    NOTE. All expenses related to the stay at the symposium (travel, accommodation, etc.) are paid by the participants at their own expense or at the expense of the sending party.
