Purpose: to train specialists in art therapy in working with children, adolescents, adults and families. Mastering art therapy techniques, working out the methodological foundations of work in art therapy techniques.
Target group: designed for practical psychologists, psychologists of educational, medical and recreational institutions, social workers, counseling psychologists, psychotherapists, teachers, students.
The program of art therapy in the work of a psychologist with children and adults will be implemented during 2011-2013. The duration of the program is 210 hours of training work, training will be held in sessions for 30 hours.
The basis for the implementation of the art therapy program in the work of a psychologist with children and adults: the Center for Practical Psychology of the Republic of Institutions of Higher Educational Institutions of VMURL “Ukraine” – an art therapy laboratory; laboratory of interactive forms of education; consulting room equipped for play, sand and fairy tale therapy.
The main tasks of the project:
– to acquaint with the methodological and theoretical basic methods of art therapy;
– approbation of the main forms of art therapy in the process of group work;
– to master the systemic principles of diagnostics and correction by means of art therapy.
Forms of work: mini-lectures, watching video clips of corrective exercises, diagnostic workshop, using art therapy exercises, isotherapy (spontaneous drawing; scribble method, fantasy drawing, archetypical drawing, self-collages, ethnopsychological drawing, creating a generic picture, finger drawing , work with mandalas (colored sand mandalas), sand therapy, play therapy, music therapy, work with clay, color therapy, fairy tale therapy (creation of psychological fairy tales; creation of corrective fairy tales, diagnostics in a fairy tale, acting out fairy tales, drawing fairy tales), music therapy (music as a metaphor , music therapy and the therapeutic nature of music, the main directions of music therapy, active and passive forms of music therapy, the combination of visual techniques with music, the methods of interaction between the therapist and the client, with the group in music therapy, labeling using the classification of musical metaphors, the use of the method of music therapy within the group and individual work, criteria for choosing musical works, music therapy techniques, models for constructing an “individual” melody; own experience in exercises and creation of an individual therapeutic melody; dynamic listening technology).
