Black and white are important color structures of our perception, which allow us to accept what is necessary and reject what is superfluous.
A little about monochrome collage in art therapy…
This is a wonderful form of work in art therapy, creating a drawing or collage in order to systematize thoughts and feelings, provides the client with a symbolic distinction and understanding of the internal contrasts of their experiences. The collection of monochrome images in our case of black and white makes it possible to symbolically create a new structure, a new internal order.
And the creation of monochrome collages, a great opportunity to organize activity in order to redistribute it. And so how to organize it?
1. We prepare a variety of monochrome blanks of different sizes, textures, shapes, shades.
2. We provide the client with a field (base) for creating collages in two colors, often these are just sheets of cardboard in A4 or A3 format.
3. Prepare a glue that will make it possible to connect the monochrome details of the image in the most diverse way.
5. We create images until the art product is fully accepted.
