Oil pastels are available in different scales, which can all be mixed with each other, we had a set of 48 colors. The basis of the mix is ​​the best quality mineral oils with pigments that have good color fastness and provide a bright and intense trace. Oil pastel lays down very softly. Allows you to draw in the pastel technique, including shading, as well as in the technique of oil paints, including imitating strokes. When using pastels, the picture gets colors and a delicate velvety texture. For art therapy, oil pastels provide a certain fluidity of color and form, which is very important for drawing emotional states. And so the pros:
– the color scheme is very diverse;
– the colors are juicy and there are successful halftones;
– the texture of the pigment is not very oily, but at the same time provides ease of use;
– it does not curl much on paper, but small pieces remain, which, in principle, is not very important for art therapy;
– color rendition is very successful, when we look at an angle, the effect of textiles is created, there is a pronounced velvety, which is very positive when fixing positive states in the work of a psychologist;
– Poisonous unpleasant odors are not noticed;
– when saving the work, it is important to use fixatives for pastels, even after three weeks it will be smeared and rubbed, which can upset your client;
– pencils in the hands do not melt and do not break
– very convenient size, what you need for psychological drawing;
– economy is high;
– the packaging is reliable, but it’s a pity that there are no latches on the box, it’s inconvenient during transportation, though in boxes of 72 colors the latches have already been provided.
