Love and Love

Love and Love lived in one ordinary human soul.
They were similar, like twins, but for some reason they behaved differently. Love was by nature blind, Love had one hundred percent vision.
When Love point-blank did not notice shortcomings, Love saw them perfectly, unconditionally accepting them.
When Love walked under the moon and gave flowers, choking in a whirlpool of happy emotions, Love patiently waited on lonely cold nights. When Love blurred in compliments, Love spoke the hard truth, treating with pain.
Love knew many tender words, Love simply knew how to give pleasure.
When love screamed “I can’t live without you!”, Love, dying quietly, let go.
When love struggled helplessly in hysterics, demanding reciprocity, Love spent sleepless nights in a hospital bed, not paying attention to anything.
When love, looking into an aged withered face, turned away, and, pitying itself, melted like snow, leaving the soul forever, Love remained, breathing life into cold blue lips.
– I’m powerless here, – said Death, quietly melting after Love.
– Why is this happening? – the young Angel asked his senior colleague, looking with curiosity into the soul filled with love.
“It’s simple,” answered the Old Angel, who in his lifetime has seen millions of ordinary human souls.
– It’s simple. When Love was born, a new bright star shone, giving beauty and joy to everyone around. When Love was born, God laughed. And he smiles, believe me, not so often.
