Anger is the result of a discrepancy between our idea of ​​the world and what it really is. Delayed, unreacted anger is a blow to our mental and physical health, the cause of a variety of psychosomatic diseases. Anger leads to conflicts and the destruction of relationships with people. You need to learn how to overcome anger or quickly get out of it.

How can I do that?

One way is to draw your anger. In this case, your ability to paint is completely unimportant. It will be enough to express anger in the form of incoherent lines or strokes. All you need is a sheet of paper and colored pencils or paints.
First of all, you need to relax and take a comfortable position, take a deep breath and calmly observe yourself and your condition.
Now think about a situation that made you feel very angry. Imagine the environment, hear the people around you.

In doing so, please note:

Where and how did your anger originate? Where was he?
– What colour is he? Does your anger have a form? If it has, which one?
– What material is it made of? Is it light or heavy? Soft or elastic? Cold or hot?
– Does your anger smell, taste? What does your anger sound like?
– While you were considering it, did any changes take place in it? What is your anger now?
Do what you want to do with it…

Now open your eyes, take three deep breaths, and come back to the present moment, to where you are right now.
Draw your anger. Depict your negative feelings by choosing the colors that best match your state of mind.

When you feel that your tension has decreased, try to change the drawing to a positive one: turn the drawing over to either side and finish it with other colors. Do this until there are no hard feelings left inside. If you can’t change your drawing to a positive one, and it still causes negativity, there is always a radical option – to crumple or tear it into small pieces! As you do this, visualize your rage pouring out in this action.
