Why creativity makes us happy..?

Why creativity makes us happy..?

So let’s think about what creativity is. This is a process that can be both visible and invisible and aimed at creating a new reality. A process that can be directed towards a result, or simply a process for the sake of a process. This is what makes it possible to synthesize the experience of knowledge into new conditions of reality.
In order to understand a person, one must look into the sky. Why in all the legends did God create the earth and everything that exists on earth? Why did he need it? After all, the creation of the Earth can be regarded as an unconditional act of creativity.

Since I myself am closer to understanding the Orthodox paradigm, I will take reinforcements from these dogmas.
Here are a few options that I found interesting for psychological analysis:
Idea 1: St. Maximus the Confessor put forward the version that “God, the all-satisfied one, brought creatures from non-existence into existence, not because he needed anything, but so that they, according to their acceptability, partaking of His blessedness, would enjoy; But He Himself rejoiced in His works, seeing them rejoicing” (“Chapters on Love,” centurion 3:46). So, if we draw an analogy that we are a part of God, then we need creativity to receive pleasure and joy.

Idea 2: theologian Georgy Frolovskiy: “The world exists. But he began to exist. And this means: the world might not exist. There is no need for the existence of the world. Cause and foundation of the world outside the world. The existence of the world is possible only through the out-of-world will of the All-Good and Almighty God” (“Creation and creaturehood”). As the apostle Paul says, the whole creation has “subjected to vanity” and “groaning”, waiting for the hour when it will be free again (Rom. 8:20-22). From the words of the theologian, there is a direct broadcast that God wanted this and so showed freedom in the realization of his desires. To sum it up: creativity means freedom.

The idea of St. Dionysius the Areopagite 3 that Divine love is ecstatic means that it is outside of Him. God created the world because His love “overflows”. Without this flowing love, the world would never exist. And instead of talking about creation ex nihilo (out of nothing), it would be more correct to talk about creation ex amore (out of love). Being Love Himself, God creates the world out of love and even out of an excess of love. Divine love already finds complete satisfaction in the perfect unity of the Persons of the Holy Trinity, but the cup of Divine love overflows, as it were, and God calls His creation out of non-existence so that it can partake of the bliss of His love. In this thesis, we find confirmation that creativity is the embodiment of Love.

So, the result of creativity is freedom, love and pleasure. The three basic components that people use to describe HAPPINESS. Create and be happy!
