Module topic: Working with word metaphor in art therapy

Day 1 : Art bibliotherapy as a form of creating therapeutic meanings

Bibliotherapy – the use of texts, poems, aphorisms, proverbs to work with the negative program of the client, the creation of resources and for the purpose of diagnosis.

Techniques of the day:
1. Technique “Text secret” work with mini-texts
2. Technique “Ethno-wisdom” work with proverbs
3. Technique “Verse-message” work with poetic works
4. Method of card-making “Creating personal motivators”
5. Lecture hall “Art bibliotherapy as a method of work of a psychologist”

For the convenience of work, it is desirable to have: poems and proverbs that are resource, aphorisms and sayings. Thick paper, scissors and glue.

Day 2: Fairy tale therapy in work with children and adults

Fairy tale therapy in work with children and adults, creation of psychotherapeutic fairy tales. Principles of creating fairy tale algorithms for different problems.

Techniques of the day:
1. Technique “Tales about pots” cards “Pots”
2. Technique “Creating fairy tales from abstract images” META-ART cards
3. Technique “Group drawn fairy tales” method of a fairy tale in drawings
4. Technique “Wire Tales” fairy tales from chenille
5. Lecture hall “Algorithms for creating therapeutic fairy tales”

For the convenience of work, it is desirable to have: a set of chenille wire in the amount of 20 pieces of different colors.

The training course is based on creative therapy (isotherapy, fairy tale therapy, music therapy, bibliotherapy, clay therapy, sand therapy, color therapy, puppet therapy, mandalotherapy, mask therapy, etc.) The course is based on overcoming psychological problems using the art therapy method with clients of different ages. Designed for practical psychologists, specialists in other helping professions, students of the humanities.

The structure of the course makes it possible to form basic theoretical knowledge on the peculiarities of using the method, theoretical and methodological approaches in the system of healing and restoration of the creative process, to master the full set of techniques and methods of working with art therapy tools, to trace the nature of the client’s dynamics through the symbolism and structure of the art products of the therapeutic process.
