In Shuchu, of course. Once a desecrated, unaccepted painting, for which poor Henri Matisse was uncovered to smithereens, today it is an invaluable asset. Nevertheless, I decided to give myself a gift. I often look at pictures, including the Dance, of course I don’t know how to draw, but why not try if you really want to?

And … I decided to try it, circled it right on the fabric and cut it out, as it were, with allowances. I decided not to “rude” a very loose fabric with a zigzag, but first to sew it by hand, carefully tucking everything in.

Yes, by the way, I got the base like this. I didn’t have fabrics, I collected them from scraps. I like it even better. In general, I sewed by hand with a hidden seam. It turned out like this.

Now it’s the machine’s turn. I made all the contours, strokes, lines and features of the bodies with a zigzag with a black thread, this is all by eye, of course. I drew with a typewriter. Silk successfully conveys highlights and shadows.

Of course, I got a disproportion somewhere, somewhere there are jambs, Mlyn, well, an amateur is not a pro, why now = ((

And, yes, the Dance of Matisse takes place on a hill, against the sky. The artist uses only three colors, but for me … they dance in a multi-colored meadow, and butterfly birds fly around =))))) In short, whatever it was, I was tired with this dance specifically, but I was very carried away and really wanted to.

My picture is only 1 meter by 85 cm, but nothing too =) The picture turned out to be bright, lively, looks different from different angles and lighting, the colors play silk overflows. Well, in general, it looks interesting. Didn’t even expect…
