Tale of tolerance “Bell”

Grandmother peacefully listened to the birds singing by the window and breathed in the still faint smell of spring. Then, like a light breeze, her granddaughter ran up to her.

And, as always, with wide-open eyes and a question:

– Granny, tell me, what is it when you see someone who is hurting, or someone who is having a hard time – and it becomes sad, and bells seem to ring inside.

– This is called compassion, and the bells are the Soul.

– Why do we need this, because sometimes they ring so hard that you want to cry from someone else’s pain or pity.

– This is Baby, so that we remember that we are Humans. And they knew that we have a Soul. She is not visible! And imagine: when everyone hears their own bells and helps another, then there will be less sadness. Do you know what the big secret of these bells is? Grandmother said almost in a whisper.

– Which? Tell me, please, – asked the Baby.

– When you hear the first ringing of the Soul and help or do good to a person, completely different bells begin to ring inside. These are happy bells. Their ringing is the most pleasant.

“Oh, I think I know how they ring. Do you want me to draw you my Soul bells? – said the little girl happily.

“Of course,” Grandmother replied, smiling.

And the bells of happiness rang in their souls.
