We invite you to participate in a training seminar on the topic
Psychological support for children and parents during the transition of the child to secondary school
(duration of the event 10 hours) which will take place on 24.11.2011

Purpose: to provide the psychologist with the necessary skills for the formation of systematic learning for students, techniques that will help in adapting children to new teachers. To form skills that prevent conflict interactions between parents and teachers.
Target group: designed for practical psychologists, educational institutions, social workers, counseling psychologists, teachers, parents, students, teachers.

The program of the seminar-training provides
1. Diagnosis of personal, intellectual, emotional readiness for secondary school the role of parents in the process of shaping the child’s readiness for learning in the classroom.
2. Diagnosis of the level of adaptation according to the criteria (changes in environmental conditions, changes in requirements, lack of control, gaps in knowledge) – the mastery of psychological mechanisms that ensure the timely overcoming of problems.
3. Presentation of methods that form the student’s own criteria for progress or failure in the educational and communicative sphere. – Method “Seminars of Change”
4. Technique “Memo for a first grader”
5. Art Therapy Technique “Chronicle of the Class”
6. Ritual of farewell to the first teacher – technique “Gift in memory of the class”
7. Actualization of subjective positions on success in high school – the technique “Bag of joy and a bag of disappointments”
As part of the seminar-training, participants will receive methodological materials:
1. An individual card of the psychological and pedagogical status of a fifth-grader
2. Questionnaire for studying the level of adaptation
3. Questionnaire of interests of the fifth grader
4. A map of observation of the educational activities of a fifth grade student

Forms of work: mini-lectures, diagnostic workshop, use of art therapy exercises, brainstorming, role-playing games.
