Psychological counseling for parents of a teenager

The purpose of the training is to acquire knowledge and practical skills to overcome psychological difficulties in adolescent children, to develop psychologists’ knowledge and skills necessary to provide psychological assistance, while counseling teenagers’ parents.

 

Target audience of the training : psychologists and social educators, educators, specialists working with children, parents, psychoconsultants, psychotherapists.

 

Methods of work: art therapy exercises, analytical exercises, modeling, phototherapy, mini-lecture, psychological games, videos on the topic of training, corrective cases.

Seminar-training program

1. Mini-lecture “Secrets of adolescence”.
2. Analysis of the mistakes of parental upbringing of the child – brainstorming.
3. Technique of goal setting and motivation of a teenager “Up”.
4. Technique “Parents are adult friends.”
5. Dialogic model of communication between parents and adolescents using metaphorical cards “Tandu”.
6. Confidence level technique.
7. Technique of work with the transfer of roles “Mom-teenager, daddy-teenager”
8. Forms of work with teenage masks “Indifference”, “Uniqueness”, “Justice”, “Fatigue”, “Romanticism”, “Aggressiveness”, “Loneliness”.
9. Technique of accompanying parents “Looking for myself in a child.”
10. Algorithm for counseling parents of a teenager in the framework of the work of an educational institution.

 

As part of the seminar-training, participants will receive methodological materials:
