Method “Swallows”

 

The swallow is an image of a bird of a successful transition and historically has tremendous symbolic power.
The swallow personified the symbol of the transition to a new productive stage after fading, into spring from winter.

The world is full of beliefs about these birds and for good reason.
It is impossible to interfere with the transition by destruction. Here are just a few clues.
Destroying a swallow’s nest is a sin. “Lastivka zib’esh – you won’t live long,” they say in Ukraine. You can’t grab a swallow – it will flood with blood. If the swallow left its nest, the owner of the hut and his whole family may die.

Therefore, in Ukraine they love swallows, they keep nests from destruction. In Ukraine, when they saw her for the first time in the spring, they threw earth at her, saying: “On you, lastivko, on the nest!”

Ukrainian peasants considered it a good omen when swallows nested on the estate. According to popular belief, where they build nests, there will be happiness.

Why don’t we use this symbol for transition and as a means of self-regulation.
When there is no strength to believe that everything will change and there will be better times – just draw swallows, make collages with the image of this bird, paint.
