In the same way, we drown ourselves in our own pot specially prepared for ourselves. What is this psychological mechanism, as it is presented in real life? This can be observed in such requests as: “I don’t have time for anything”, “I don’t even have time to sleep”, “I constantly give energy and strength to others”, “I can’t say no”, “I do what I don’t want and suffer greatly from it” and other options. It is as if a person specially creates for himself the conditions of life in order to “drown” in fatigue, fear, suffering, haste.
Theoretical reference. Speaking in the language of analytical psychology, in addition to the visible, explainable, manifested in events, there is also a symbolic, irrational level of being, and in this case our inner dictate, creates conditions for the tortured living of reality. The assumption of exorbitant responsibility beyond the limits of human capabilities testifies to the presence of inflation, as well as a complete rejection of it. Everything that is in excess, which is a universal, unbearable and exorbitant burden, illustrates that a person has taken on more than what nature itself prescribed for him. Here comes an excess of humility, as the other side of pride or arrogance, an excess of altruism, as the other side of selfishness and the desire for power. All this signals a state of inflation, “inflated” to the limits of the ego’s Self.

Let’s try to make an attempt to understand and comprehend this phenomenon using the projective technique POTS +
Methodological algorithm:
1. To begin with, we will indicate in which area of the client there is a “flooding”, a symbolic violation of control and an increase in discontent or suffering. And choose a pot that will symbolically denote this sphere. 2. The second stage will be the symbolic distribution of tension among other pots, which the client will choose and their association with those areas of life or processes that can compensate for the indicated excess.
3. At the next stage, it makes sense to rename the stress distribution, symbolically giving it a different meaning or designating it with a new meaning that is constructive for the client.

1. How has the state changed since the redistribution?
2. What conclusions can be drawn?
3. How to implement and improve events in real life?
4. What can be changed in reality if this tactic works?
5. What is the main idea of this process?
Invite the client to draw their own pot, in which a comfortable amount of tension and it is completely safe to arrive.
