Exercise “Magic colors”

Tasks: sensory-perceptual development, removal of emotional stress, group cohesion, development of creativity.

Required materials: liquid gouache, plastic glasses from yogurt or sour cream (500 ml), the number of which should be equal to the number of children or colors of the paint being made, vegetable oil, flour, PVA glue, coarse salt, pressed cardboard or cardboard for labor, oilcloth , newspapers, rags for wiping hands. You may also need a tape recorder and pleasant relaxing music.
The technique can be carried out in individual and group mode.

Progress of work: “Magic paint” is made by the children themselves.
Paint recipe (per child): 150 g flour, a pinch of salt, a tablespoon of vegetable oil, a tablespoon of PVA glue, water is added so that the paint is like thick sour cream in consistency. You can spread an oilcloth on the floor, cover it with newspapers. Everything you need to make paint is placed in the center. Children are seated around these materials. It is good if the children are dressed in such a way that they are not afraid to get dirty.

First, the guys pour the required amount of flour into the cups, where they gradually add salt, oil, water, glue. It is very important that all components are mixed by hand.
When a new component is added to the paint base, the sensory sensations of children change. In the process of mixing the components, you need to ask the guys to comment on their feelings, feelings. When the base for the paint is ready, the children are invited to choose their favorite color of paint, and add it to the base. If you need a bright tone of paint, then gouache is added a lot, if pale, then a little. In the same way, it will be possible to adjust the desire of several children to create one color. It will be one, but of different intensity. Of course, it is good if the colors do not repeat.
The finished paint is exposed to the center. Children are given cardboard and, to pleasant music, are invited to draw something with their fingers, using the resulting paint. It could be a given topic.
The psychologist can track the ways children interact, their states and behavioral responses in making paint and drawing.
When the work is ready, you can make an exhibition with subsequent comments.
