1. The first books for a child should be 85% illustrated, which will provide an opportunity to concentrate attention and develop perception.
2. As soon as the child begins to speak, you can buy him a book with words, the letters in which will be large and correct and necessarily directly related to the pictures.
3. The plot of the book should be simple and clear with familiar characters that the child encounters or knows about in life…imagination time will be a little later. Do not overload the child’s psyche with complex stories, as he will quickly lose interest. The child must understand what he sees in the book and what he hears.
4. While the child still cannot read on his own, let him tell you about what is in the book, so we train the ability to focus on a specific action and the child’s thinking creates its own non-repetitive images.
5. Always offer your child to come up with their own version of the book … when your plot is different, the skill of self-creation will gradually form. And your kid will be able to calmly change not only the plot in the book, but also the reality of his life.
6. At least once every three months, buy a new book and it is certainly better for the child to choose it himself. And even if it doesn’t quite suit him (in your opinion), try to respect the child’s choice in small things, so that he respects yours. The new book provides new opportunities for development. There are never too many books!
7. And I am for finishing and adding to the book, so the book comes to life and becomes a child’s “personal” book, and this is the basis of creative creation. By creating our own from someone else’s, we find the creator within ourselves.
