Alien Toy Technique

Development of fantasy in a child by methods of puppet therapy (the “Alien Toy” technique)
Goal: Development of creative imagination and fantasy, creativity, avoiding stereotypical, patterned thinking. Formation of figurative thinking in the process of creating a puppet image.
Materials: A piece of soft wire 1.5 meters, beads, acrylic paint, pieces of fabric for clothes.
Progress:
1. Participants are invited to think about what kind of dolls aliens could have, to dream up how alien children play with them.
2. Think about how you can create dolls for an alien from the materials that are proposed.
3. Create a doll frame with the child, and offer to decorate it, give a name and come up with a story on the topic “How an alien plays with his doll”.
4. Make an exhibition of work.
5. Play a performance on the topic “What will the toys tell each other when they meet.”
Analysis:
1. What did you especially like about your work?
2. How else can you play with a doll?
3. The child is offered to draw an alien’s house or school.
4. Tell a story when the alien is happy and when it is sad.
