Have you felt how the wind plays in your hair and how the waves go in the grain field, and how the trees rustle in the forest, and how the leaves play on the aspen? For sure. So, before us is the symbolism of space and air. Let’s define what we will understand further by these concepts. So, space is what in mathematics denotes three axes – X, Y, Z, going to infinity. They represent the width, length and height. Simply put, space is a certain section of the physical world, defined by some boundaries – explicit or implicit. Air, on the other hand, is air – our habitat, a set of gases that determines, among other things, the laws of aerodynamics – this addition is very important, because our ancestors could judge the nature of air from them.

Have you ever shot with a bow? Not in a shooting range or a sports field, but in a field? If yes, then you must be familiar with the indescribable feeling when you release an arrow and it flies with a whistle into the sky. It is not by chance that the bow and arrows are mentioned here, the fact is that an arrow (or even an arrow) is the main symbol of air, and with it the wind. Our forefathers, gunsmiths and archers knew the laws of aerodynamics very well – they made it possible to create arrows and bows – a Russian archer could easily cover a distance of more than 250 m with direct fire with a shot (compared to Western European and English archers, this figure is very, very large, it exceeds local indicators are more than 100 m.). Space was depicted with the help of arrows – one, two, four, eight. These arrows characterize the essence of space. In the case of two arrows, we have in front of us ascending and descending air currents, upper and lower layers of the atmosphere. Consider also a typical sign – four crossed arrows: north (winter), south (summer), west (night) and east (day) – again we have a unity of opposites, here you have progress and regression. Pay attention: horizontal line: east – progress, west – regression, vertical line: north – progress, south – regression. It is worth mentioning the circle drawn along this cross (as in the figure on the left) – it means the unity of the elements.

Triglav is honored as the god of space in Rus’ – the god of three heads, which, one might say, symbolize length, width and height. By the way, the invariable attribute of Triglav is the fiery sword, about which – in the previous section. The god of sea spaces is Pereplut – in general, his essence, is clear from the name, this god is represented by four heads, they symbolize the north, south, west and east. The god of the wind is Stribog with his younger brothers – Dogoda and Pozvizd, a pleasant breeze and a violent hurricane.

There is also a non-material space, as modern clowns-“magicians” would say, astral. That is, the space between the worlds, the great promstores of Prav and Navi. These symbols must be sought in the image of the World Tree, images of these worlds. Consider the “crown” of the World Tree, Rule – in front of us is the rune Algiz (Algiz) of the Elder Futhark, a rune of a passive order, and in the Vendian row we have a rune that is called the World, that is, Rule, the inner Self, Belobog (a collective image of the bright Gods), genus. And now let’s look at the roots of the World Tree, we have an inverted Algiz – active disorder, chaos, and in the Vendian runes – the Chernobog rune, the antagonism of the “Peace” rune.
Air is a thin boundary between the material (physical) world and the spiritual (astral) world. That is why air is a symbol of the invisible, but felt, a symbol of thoughts and spiritual development, logic and reason. This is a symbol of change, but not just changes taking their course, but changes that require efforts to implement them, sometimes even struggle. The element of air is pure and chaotic, responsible for travel, knowledge, freedom, discovery, the disclosure of lies and the acquisition of new psychic abilities.

Nietzsche believed that air is the highest, thinnest form of matter from which human freedom is woven. That is, a symbol of air, it is a symbol of complete freedom. Freedom, for which there are no barriers and restrictions. Air cannot be caught, locked in a cage, tied or limited by any walls. Freedom in the physical and spiritual world, and hence the desire for something new, unknown. All thoughts, feelings, memories are covered with heat or cold, dryness or moisture in the air. The presence of air elements in something speaks of lightness, ability to fly, unpredictability and memory.

Air is a fluid, ever-changing element. Moreover, these changes are sometimes difficult to notice, they occur so imperceptibly (unlike, for example, changes in water). The air is very capricious. Take for example the same wind, it changes its direction quickly and unpredictably. Just now it was blowing to the east with a weak breeze, and now it is already rushing north in a hurricane. The wind can be quiet and imperceptible, but it can also rush like a hurricane, blowing everything in its path, everything indiscriminately into good and bad, and after the storm it will again change dramatically and subside.

Air symbolizes high mobility in all its manifestations, ambiguity, the desire to move simultaneously in all directions. It is also the desire for communication, relationships. At the same time, these relationships are not strong and are quite easily torn, while striving to unite into new relationships, but also not so long. These relationships can be both contacts between people, and the exchange of information, energy and any other exchange, for example, the exchange of substances in the same Alchemy.

Air is patterns that we cannot always prove, but the truth of which is completely obvious to us. Air is subject to psychic powers, especially the ability to predict the future, clairvoyance and, of course, telepathy. Air, like all elements, can be creative and destructive. This is a hurricane that sweeps away everything in its path, and a gentle spring breeze on children’s cheeks. Air is an elusive, intangible matter, and it can be different – thickening, the air can be fog, but it can also be absolutely transparent and invisible.

The element of air determines the air temperament of people. These people are most often sanguine, with a light, impetuous character, changeable as gusts of wind. They are inventive, have a rich and completely original (different from other people) imagination. Meteors and birds are representatives of the air.

In many theories of the birth of the world, air is the primary element. After all, water – the source of life – is essentially the condensation of air. And fire arises when it is sharply compressed. The wind carries with it the smallest pieces of matter – when they are concentrated, the earth is formed. All this will be told in more detail in the lessons of Alchemy, now the main thing is that you understand the very meaning and importance of this element.

In Alchemy, air is a masculine element, which means that it is active, in contrast to the same water and earth, which are feminine, passive elements. That is, we have two female and two male elements interconnected. As earth is the opposite of air, so water is the opposite of fire, and, on the other hand, just as fire is attractive to air, so water is attractive to earth. Harmony reigns between air and fire. In alchemy, the symbol of air is the symbol of volatile mercury.

Air is associated with the East and spring, thus reflecting another of its essence – it is the flowering, the development of something, the constant growth upwards, into the sky, improvement. This is also why air is associated with the growing moon and is a symbol of this phase of the lunar cycle. Very often, that is why in some rituals of the magic of the spirits of the air – Sylphs – they are called upon precisely with the growing moon, imagining how they sway in the wind, flying into a circle.

Air is associated with movement, freshness, thinking, learning and communication. Eastern philosophers saw in the air a repository of the vital energy of the body (prana, qi or kai – among the Hindus, Chinese and Japanese, respectively).

In India, the wind is one of the elements, called Vata, and wind is the movement of air. The trinity of the main gods in India are: Agni (fire) – whose habitat is the earth, Indra – whose habitat is the air (Vaya), Surya – the sun that lives in the air. The ruler of the air Indra is the god of thunder and castles in the air.

Many civilizations had gods and saints who controlled the winds. They are depicted with wings – a sign of involvement in the element of air. The Egyptian goddess Isis, when she was looking for the body of Osiris, was depicted with the paraphernalia of a kite, which she needed to give him the breath of life. The capricious nature of the element of air, similar to a bizarre play of the imagination, is symbolized by the winged Pegasus, which arose from the blood of a jellyfish decapitated by Perseus. The domestication of Pegasus by Bellerophon signifies the control of the elements of nature and imagination. Air contains the basic principles and beginnings of life: it is associated with breathing and speech associated with it.

[1000

post-26221","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-art-therapy
["GET
