Member of the Commission on State Prizes under the President of the Russian Federation.<br \/>\nBorn in 1931 in Moscow. He began writing poetry at the age of five. He graduated from school 69, worked as a driver.<br \/>\nIn 1951 he was arrested, and in 1956 he was rehabilitated.<br \/>\nStudied at the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University.<br \/>\nIn 1962 he was admitted to the Union of Theater Workers, in 1966 to the Union of Writers of the USSR. For a long time he was engaged in literary translation.<br \/>\nPlays for children have been staged in more than 30 theaters, among them &#8220;Emelino happiness&#8221;, &#8220;Two Baba-Yagas&#8221;
