You must understand, son, joy is not the goal, it is not the opposite of despair. Joy is the readiness to contain despair like a newborn, breathe through it, leave a place for it in your huge heart.<\/p>\n
Joy is a repository in which nothing is stored. Joy is the original feeling of being alive, indestructible, aligned with the universe. Joy is unchanging, unshakable, closer than your next breath.<\/p>\n
Joy cannot be stolen, cannot be acquired. Joy collects in its heart all the sorrows, disappointments, fears and dreams of the world.<\/p>\n
The joy was there when you took your first step, fell to the ground, cried, and got up again, ready to move on.
