This is the task that both the spiritual teachers-gurus of the past and the psychotherapists of today set for themselves and their students.

Technique 1 “Confuse yourself.”

Give yourself the task of eating for one day, holding the main device (fork or spoon) in a different hand than you are used to. That is, say, right-handers eat all day long, holding a spoon with their left hand, and left-handers, respectively, with their right.
Take a different route to work (or home from work) during the week. At least get off one stop earlier or later and get there on foot, but not in a straight line. (As for women, here you need to worry about comfortable shoes in advance. And of course, this exercise does not mean walking on a dark evening through dubious gateways in stilettos. These practices call for remembering reality, and not completely forgetting about it!

Do any work you are accustomed to slowly, solemnly and carefully. So, as if you are carrying (at the parking lot in the desert) a bowl with precious drops of living water.

Technique 2 “Control over speech.”

Exactly for one day, exclude the word “no” and its substitute “not” from your speech. Try to get by with other language tools to clarify your thoughts, even at work.
Do the same with the word “I” and “me”, but within a week.

Try to consciously carry the affirmation “I am.” After some time, connect to it the second statement “I can.”
(These mantra statements are pronounced consciously, not in a tongue twister, and only after you have achieved some success in self-awareness through the exercises listed at the beginning of our list)

Technique 3 “Mindful Reading”

Take any text (subsequently you yourself will choose NOT ANY texts). Read it three times.
The first time – the way you usually read “to yourself.”
Read the text a second time as if you are reading it aloud to another person so that he understands it.
Read the text for the third time as if it were an encrypted message written for you personally in order to solve your problems.

Technique 4 “Conscious Breathing”

Here’s what – and we very rarely concentrate on breathing, and it is with it that our rhythm of life begins! Our heart rate and the health of our body depend on it.
Pay attention to how we breathe for five minutes a day:
What is the duration of inhalation and exhalation, which of them lasts longer?
– if we inhale – we take in more than we give out
– if you exhale – give more
– if we pause between inhalation and exhalation – a manifestation of distrust
Is your breathing shallow or deep?
breathing occurs evenly without pauses, a deep breath and a full exhalation
(why, only when we fall asleep does the breath flow evenly and deeply?)

Here are some other activities that help increase awareness:

– look at dawn – at the rising Sun – its light – cleanses our consciousness.
Or see the sunset (many do it intuitively)
– sing! And listen to music! A pleasant melody tunes us in a harmonious way.
and with our voice we tune our “instrument” – and thoughts come in order.
– draw abstractions (without thinking about anything) – this is how we show our hidden moods, this is how we can free ourselves from internal tension, which we often do not notice.

All these techniques lead us to awareness of ourselves in this world, paying attention to true values. Being in the moment “Here and now” gives the most effective state for reacting to external events. The absence of internal dialogues and the like creates additional energy for the momentum of action.

[1000

post-25488","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-art-therapy
["GET
