\u201cCreativity has nothing to do with any business, in particular: with drawing, poetry, dancing, singing. It has nothing to do with anything in particular.<\/p>\n
Anything can be creative \u2013 you bring that quality into your work. Activity in itself is neither creative nor uncreative. You can draw uncreatively. You can sing uncreatively. And you can clean the floor creatively. You can cook creatively.<\/p>\n
Creativity is the quality that you bring to the activity, to what you do. It is an attitude, an inner approach, the way you look at things.<\/p>\n
So the first thing to remember is don’t limit your creativity to anything in particular. A person is creative \u2013 and if he is creative in whatever he does, even if he is just walking, you will see that there is creativity in the way he walks. Even if he sits in silence and does nothing, even not doing will be a creative act. The Buddha sitting under the Bodhi tree did nothing and yet he is the world’s greatest creator I know.<\/p>\n
As soon as you understand this: what is it you, a person who can be creative or non-creative, then this problem will disappear.<\/p>\n
Not everyone can be an artist and there is no need for that. If everyone were an artist, the world would be very ugly, it would be difficult to live. And not everyone can be a dancer, and there is no need for that. But everyone can be creative.<\/p>\n
