Artsintezterapiya is a complex method of group psychotherapy that uses the synthesis of arts. It is considered as an independent direction in treatment and correctional work, where the possession of technical methods of various types of arts is combined with knowledge of psychopathology and is subordinated to psychotherapeutic goals. <\/p>\n
In artsintezterapiya (AST) the role of the complex of arts as a psychotherapeutic method of influence was studied for the first time. New patterns were revealed when working with the psychoanalytic principle “recovery through awareness”. <\/p>\n
AST uses 7 techniques – arts: exercises in associations, painting, versification, improvisation theater, dramaturgy, rhetoric, stage plasticity. <\/p>\n
For the use of art for medicinal purposes, special methods of practical training in various types of arts have been introduced. ACT education is fundamentally different from the traditional methods used in art schools and has never been used in art therapy before. <\/p>\n
Information about unconscious experiences is drawn from the analysis of the products of patients – paintings, poems, plays, theatrical sketches, plastic arts, etc. At the same time, the synthesis of the arts, with its complex of approaches and means, makes it possible to use the entire accumulated potential of a person in the unity of his experiences, behavior, cognitions, motivations due to the use of various forms of influence on the patient’s personality. Thus, the technique performs both diagnostic and therapeutic role. Intensive stress impact on the emotional and intellectual sphere according to the AST method allows optimizing the adaptive capabilities of the individual, and the changes are of a generalized nature.
