I see a gardener enjoying a blooming flower… They create art, as if observing, but there is Love in such contemplation. You feel God in what you love, and it is so strong, just so inexhaustible in your understanding. Love … and God will be near! God is love!

And when we pick up a pencil or paint, creating from the nonexistence of being, freely, calmly, sincerely, we seem to invite that great God, the creator of the Universe, into our small creation, we become different, free from something complex and fictional, we approach the depths of the truth of one’s self.

And a small child, creating a world on a sheet of paper, awakening a long-standing unconscious need for creation, blooms his worlds from scribbles and dots as if a whole ocean of love in the process of creation combines with something immense and invisible.
Having fun with the color of paints as if splashing a rainbow across the sky after rain, the child becomes a crystal of the universe, reflecting its fullness in the evolution of one child.

In art therapy, you have to be children. Remember: “Truly I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven” (Matthew 18:1-11).

For God created us in his own image. By creating, we testify to our involvement in a higher, non-material. Looking at pictures, listening to music, meditating in dance, sculpting something new out of nothing, everyone is in a state of supreme pleasure, and it is impossible to describe, it is worth feeling.

And how to feel it? Just do what you love. In art therapy it’s easy!

Do what you love – this is both the answer and the advice.
Make your soul sing from the simplest things – then it’s about Love.
Do it for the sake of a song in your soul, and not for the sake of words of praise or appreciation – then it’s about Love.
Make it so that time is the main ally, not the enemy – then it’s about Love.
Make sure that those who are near you want to be near and be inspired by your work – then it’s about Love.
Do it as if this business is the main thing in your life – then it’s about Love.
Make it so that even the blind can feel the beauty of your creation – then it’s about Love.
Make it so that money becomes an opportunity for improvement – then it’s about Love.
Make sure that when Love sees the result of your labors, it says: “Yes, it’s me.”

@Victoria Nazarevich, text of the course “Psychology of Color”, 2022

I look at a mother admiring her child.
