Mini-program for working with children

The strong must be good, because otherwise strength becomes a weapon of evil

Children want to gain strength or manifest it, to control someone else’s strength. Therefore, I ask myself the question: “What psychological phenomenon is hidden in this?”.

“You are very strong if you want good, if you try, if you unite, if you try to do good together, live honestly, live creatively,” Lubomir Huzar (Catholic priest) once said, and, perhaps, he was right!

For it is the kindness and support of others, not miserable sympathy, trust with the understanding that different things can happen, and betrayal – this is part of the relationship that has long become a challenge to humanity for a person.

Often children are not good, because different manifestations of strength are our form of instinctive self-preservation, this is a way that is from the animal world, where one is a predator and the other is a victim. But we are not animals and we have a consciousness that can model the forms of our power. And it is precisely the form of strength through good that is an important task in the formation of a tolerant and humane society.

Not fierce competition, but a chance for everyone becomes a new ideology for educating society, otherwise war again!

How, with the help of creativity and art therapy, to give a child the opportunity to touch the truth that goodness should be strength, and this is how we become truly strong!

I propose certain motives for the work of a psychologist with this topic on the example of wonderful drawings of baby elephants and rabbits.

1. We invite the child to create his own fairy tale about the friendship of a baby elephant and a hare.
Planning a plot where it’s good is an important part of a relationship.

2. Prepare symbolic gifts of goodness that they could give to each other. Offer to implement from different art materials. And also offer to create a good gift for someone strong.

3. Tell the story of friendship between a strong baby elephant and a little hare, about their friendship and how they do good together where they live. Draw a picture of a common and strong cause.

4. Try to organize a dialogue with the children on the topic “What is good?” and offer to draw something well with different pencils.

5. Have a time to remember the good that you have done or have done for you, write it down or depict it as a metaphor, such as a bouquet of flowers or balloons, etc.

6. Create a creative plan with the children to create a good self or a quest game “How can I be good.”

7. And, of course, find two toys of an elephant and a hare, so that the child can simulate their interaction, where a strong elephant is friends and shows kindness to a small hare. Invite the children to model situations where the strong are kind.

8. If the work is carried out with groups, then the creation of a gallery of kindness will be an excellent completion of the mini-program for the formation of a “good force”, but this can also be done with one child if his friends, relatives and everyone the child suggests are involved.

Here is a small algorithm that a creatively motivated psychologist can use to work with this topic. For it is precisely for the purpose of kindness and humanity that one must work, create and respectfully cultivate in a child, he will not appear on his own, it is vain to hope.

I look forward to your feedback from this mini-program, because without a good deed, our strength disappears!

@Victoria Nazarevich

Attention!
