And before the start of a series of seminars in the system of overcoming traumatic stress in children with a toy called PI, I want to give a number of arguments why this is important.

So, why should a child psychologist have his own arsenal of soft therapists?

The therapeutic space of the psychologist should be safe and interesting, there should be something that activates the dialogue between the child and the psychologist. So, the toy performs the following significant functions:

1. Concentration of attention and enthusiasm.

2. The desire to enter into a dialogue with a psychologist.

3. A toy as a means of this dialogue.

Creating a safe space allows the psychologist to implement further tasks of therapy without unnecessary stress. Toys in the psychologist’s office are a symbolic invitation to the child for general activity.

One of my favorite methods that I introduce at the first meeting is a tour of the office, where the child and I walk and see what I have here, show and let me touch all the toys, feel them (they beckon the child and arouse his interest ) .

The second method of turning on a child can be conditionally defined as a “strange adult”: here I play with different toys, show that they can, why do I need them, and offer to join the game. It’s like I’m encouraging a child to be my partner in a game.

The third method is to play with my mother. Mostly in private work, I do not work with a child without parents, I see this as one of the main tasks of children’s correction – attracting parents to the therapeutic space. So, that’s why I propose to play with mom, or for mom to play, and the child either helps, or simply watches how the psychologist plays with mom. For a certain time, the child always joins the activity when he removes the fear of a new space.

So, what kind of toys does a psychologist need? My answer is strange!

Consider:

“Such as the child does not see in stores.

– Those that are quite interesting and unusual.

– The ones she doesn’t have.

Those that evoke a desire to take action.

I wish all of us to find our own such toys and enjoy the therapeutic process with a toy.

More information in our seminars on the “PI” system – overcoming with a toy .

@Victoria Nazarevich 2022.

Registration for seminars 0 (93) 522 54 29

[1000
1650,1653
post-25117","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-art-therapy","tag-art-therapist-en","tag-creation
["GET
